Lisa studied at both the Paier College of Art in Connecticut and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale before going on to earn a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Union Institute & University at Vermont College with an emphasis on Jungian Psychology/Art & Drawing, and has devoted the last two decades to researching, writing and painting fairy tales, myths, legend and lore.Lisa was a college instructor at Lebanon College in New Hampshire and the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where she taught an array of art and publishing related subject matter.
Lisa’s latest publication, entitled the Ghosts & Spirits Tarot, is a magnificent collection of ghosts and spirits stories gathered from world folklore. Rendered in her trademark watercolor style, Ghosts & Spirits explores ever deeper into the collective landscape of the human condition; where questions about life and death, ancestral energy and that which lies just beyond is thoughtfully presented in this stunning masterpiece. Lisa herself believes that paranormal energies are all around us and those who, “don’t believe in ghosts have just not seen a ghost yet”.
Lisa has always followed her own path, bucking trends along the way by staying true to her creative voice. Her art has not capitulated to the pressures of a digital world. Rather, she has assimilated and grown with the changes and has proven that a traditional watercolorist still has a place in a vibrant, multi-media world. For the past five years, Lisa has been faithfully blogging about her life as an artist and other aspects of her creative life. Lisa’s hobbies include studying jazz piano, running, gardening, gourmet cooking and collecting books. Lisa is also a Black Belt in TaeKwonDo.
Lisa lives in South Florida with her husband, graphic designer/photographer Kort Kramer and their two children Connor and Kyra along with cats, birds and an aquarium of fish. Lisa has always felt drawn to the sea and has spent most of her life living along the East Coast. |
