Celtic Dragon Giveaway – Celebrating Its 10th Anniversary!
Last month marked the 10th anniversary of the release of the Celtic Dragon Tarot. Since Llewellyn published it back in 1999, it has exceeded its eighth printing, has been translated into several different languages and editions and continues to maintain a legion of fans from around the world. It’s hard to believe that 10 years have passed since the first Celtic Dragon Tarot kits hit the stores. It is a timeless deck that pays homage to dragons and it was incredibly fun to illustrate. D.J. Conway, well known writer of Celtic Magic, wrote the intuitive companion book and gave me copious creative freedom as we tackled this monumental project in honor of dragons. It is probably the most recognizable deck that I have worked on and one I continue to be proud of.
In honor of this anniversary I’m having another giveaway. I originally saw this in a store in Brighton, UK, a few years back, and despite the cabinet holding over 100 sets, it was the only one that popped out at me, and came home with me that day; since then we’ve been pretty hard to separate.

In a really bizarre coincidence, I was walking out with a co-worker at lunch yesterday. For some reason we were talking about Tarot. I can’t remember why. She said that her first Tarot deck was “this dragon Tarot and it was beautiful.” I asked her if it was a dreamy, watercolour type deck and she said yes. Then I mentioned your name and her eyes lit up.
“Yes yes! That’s the one.”
I laughed and told her you were celebrating the 10th anniversary. She smiled and said she knew why.
So I wanted to tell you about that because I thought it might make you smile.
