Dynamic Dreamer ~ Art Weaver

The Mythic, Tarot & Fairy Tale musings of Lisa Hunt

What’s the Buzz?

It is a bustling time here in Hunt-Kramer land, with approximately 30 ghosts and spirit paintings yet to tackle, a book to write, project proposals and other ideas to explore. My days are always filled with a mix of the planned and the unexpected. One of the ways I’ve expanded my repertoire has been to offer one-of-a-kind pencil drawings for friends and fans. It has been a great way to keep my sketching hand conditioned and my mind titillated in between demanding deadlines. What may seem an exercise in workload masochism is in fact a nurturing outlet that keeps the energy level high here in my studio. Thank you everyone who has ordered a drawing and fed my soul along the way!

This drawing is for Rose Vanden Eynden, author extraordinaire

With that said, I must keep this short and sweet, my friends. Here are some images of the Ghosts & Spirits project in progress. And of course, I’ve included a few pictures created by my afternoon studio companions, Connor (9 years) & Kyra (5 years). Sorry, as amazing as Timmy-the-Cat is, he has yet to pick up a pencil. Instead, he has mastered the art of power napping.

Paintings in various stages of progress

Kyra loves to draw animals. There is so much joy in this piece!

New York in the future. Connor's drawings tend to have technical leanings.

And while we're working our tails off, whose been sleeping in Kyra's bed?

  1. If that is Kyra’s self portrait, then she is on top of the world!

I love seeing your kids’ work, Lisa! They are so lucky to have such a fabulous inspiration in you!

And there’s my beautiful artwork! I’ve already saved my Michael’s coupon that just came in the mail so I can get a wonderful frame for it. I’m so excited!

    (I am apparently exclamation-point-happy today!) ;-)

Have fun on your other projects! xo
