A few months ago, my friend and fellow artist Rachel Tiep-Daniels asked me to participate in a fundraiser called “Art Blocks for Ghana”. Rachel, who has spent the past decade as a visual developer/3D artist for DreamWorks and Blue Sky Productions (Ice Age, Kung Fu Panda, Monster’s vs. Aliens) always finds time to give back to the world by helping raise money for children in need. Many of you may not realize that I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Animation back when few schools offered it. I graduated at the top of my class, not because I had the greatest animations but because I integrated my watercolor paintings within a 3D environment.
