For the first time since I started my blog 5 years ago, I took a month off from posting. I didn’t stop painting, I didn’t stop filling lisahuntart orders, I didn’t stop playing piano and I certainly didn’t stop being mom, family woman and friend. But I did have to prioritize and make sure that what I did have time for I did it well…

It was a good drawing week!

After what felt like a slow dance with creative malaise, I rebounded this week and cranked out two drawings. These were ideas that had been simmering in my sketch folder for a while after initial attempts failed to yield satisfactory results.

Daydreaming with Loon

I was and still am a daydreamer. What does that oft misunderstood term mean to me? For me, it’s about letting my foot dangle in the cool waters of dream imagery–where the slightest, most unassuming thing can initiate a fit of daydreaming, active imagination, and fantasizing.
